Dear Sirs,  

please join our campaign to raise funds for the purchase of a guide dog for Klara Vujnic by giving your contribution. Klara is a 35 year old woman, who lost her eyesight at the age of 21.

After the period of unsuccessful attempts to cure and the period of acceptance of the situation, she devoted herself to learning and mastering the use of technical aids for the blind persons. She is active in the Association for blind and partially sighted people of Banja Luka where she performs several functions, and the fact that she is actively engaged in sports - bowling for what she won several medals, says everything about how active she is. Klara is a Law student at the Faculty in Banja Luka. She lives in a rented apartment and many of her activities outside the home depend on possibility of being accompanied by someone



Because Klara’s apparent willingness to actively participate in the community life and thus express her abilities, because of her willingness and ability for independence and at the end because of her expressed wish that her companion and assistant in daily life is a guide dog, we made a conclusion:

Klara is a person who understands all the advantages which a guide dog would provide and is ready to accept it with love and the way they both will get all the advantages of their life together.
 
For all these reasons we decided to help  her on the way to run fundraising campaign since Klara is unable to pay 13, 000 EUR as needed for a trained dog and Klara’s training at a Croatian Centre for training guide dogs and mobility “SILVER” in Zagreb.

In addition to showing humanity for Klara, a person with special needs,we were also encouraged at our decision by the fact that this would be the first guide dog in the city of Banja Luka, which would have a positive effect on the inhabitants and thereby encourage the relevant institutions to change the attitudes and the legislation for people with special needs as well as the overall attitude towards dogs as animal species.

We believe that by working together with you we will successfully fulfill Klara’s desire to achieve  mobility so that she is less dependent on the assistance from other people and to provide her with the possibility of living independently and express all her skills and enthusiasm, regardless of her disability.
